Some more “free” shares

Today I reinvested some more dividend income to purchase “free” shares.

Purchase of a few more Aviva (AV.) shares (within the Amateur Investor High Yield Portfolio) reduced my average buying price a little – from 344.64p to 342.8p

I shall be looking for further falls in the Aviva share price as an opportunity to purchase more of this high yielding share at around the 300p level.

Like the Aviva purchase above, I took the opportunity to reduce the average buying price of Centrica (CNA) shares. Buying within the High Yield Portfolio (HYP) at  292.6p reduced my average buying price to 299.25p from 306p and added to the purchase made on 25th August.

Lloyds 9.25% non cum irrd pref

The final purchase today was Lloyds 9.25% non cum irrd pref (LLPC). While this didn’t reduce the average buying price based on yesterday’s purchase of  Lloyds 9.25% non cum irrd pref, it added more of these potentially high yielding shares to the HYP.
